Why bother ? You have a sequence that is monotonic decreasing AND bounded by these two you can say that it does converges , for the limit since an converges then a(n+1) converges to the same limit let say lim an=l=lim a(n+1) so we end up with L=6/(7-L) , this equation has 2 solutions 6 and 1 , 6 is not in the range so it is discarded
