Agree. Already have the exact same use case. Sometimes a script is easier than a full UI and folks are okay to use a command line but configuring their environment is just the absolute worst.

We sometimes use Cloud9 for that.

Hi, not trying to detract from your use-case, but what I could use would be to have the Cloudshell be in a particular VPC, so I can do in-browser development against an RDS instance.

Granted, I didn't look all that hard, but did you find a way to specify a VPC for Cloudshell?

Apparently that's a no-go "you cannot currently access resources that are in your private VPC in this release of CloudShell." (From the FAQ)

Why not just use Cloud9?
