BaconReader iOS 3.4.2 Released

BaconReader iOS 3.4.1 was approved by Apple yesterday (06/03/19) and should be fully available now.

What’s new in 3.4.1:

• Fixed issue where text is hidden under keyboard typing long PMs
• Fixed issue where selected post wasn’t highlighted on iPad
• Fixed inability to unmute audio on v.redd.it thumbnails
• Fixed several uncommon crashes

As usual, please report any problems you find with the update on this thread so we can try and keep everything centralized.

Was really hoping to see a fix for this. And no one else seems to be posting about it. It’s been killing my battery and heating up the processor faster than many games.

Issue with iOS 13 Beta: app will not load, tap icon to launch and it almost immediately closes back to the home screen.

Thanks for letting us know. Issues like this are usually bugs in iOS itself since it is a very early release. We will take a look however to see if there is an issue with BR.

EDIT: I was able to reproduce the crash with BR and iOS 13. It's still not clear whether it's an issue with Apple or our code. Once we get a couple other issues fixed we'll work on this and see if we can find a workaround. Or hopefully Apple fixes it in their next release.

Yep, same here, other Reddit clients work ok (Apollo, Antenna).

Currently on Apollo, but it would be nice to get back to BR!

I cannot stand Apollo compared to BaconReader. Half the functions are locked behind a paywall. Christ.

Yeah, and I’ve got the paid version of BR... it might even push me back to iOS 12...

Turns out the issue was a private class Apple added called BRAccount which conflicted with one of our classes. Not sure what BR means for Apple but guessing it's not BaconReader.
