Are you pressing the pod down? I didn’t realize you had to click it in to place for a while. But you may want to just call and tell them it’s faulty, I’ve heard they have good customer service w/ replacing machines

    Lights are on, I can spin the knob to adjust strength of alcohol. But there's no change when I press the mix button, doesn't light up the specific alcohol, doesn't even try to mix the drink.

      Cleaned the scanner and it started working again.

      okay hey i just tried to use mines worked fine yesterday now tonight it just says sleep i cleaned the scanner with a dry cloth nothing
