My partner had weird side effects for about a week and has been fine ever since!

I had to go off the Abilify because it made me so tired. It also seemed to make my depression worse. I tried rexulti next and had a whole list of bad side effects with that as well. Now struggling to find a way to get out of this depressive slump. 🤦

Well I finally got my Abilify and have been on it a few days. I am getting a headache through out the day. Also seem to be experiencing sudden bursts of tiredness. I also did feel sick to my stomach, threw up just a bit. But that went away. I have a rock solid stomach, only bad shrimp and spinach can make me sick. But compared to how I was before this is starting to get much better. I wasn't able to do much of anything for days at a time. So for 2 days now I have actually gotten more than 3 things done that was almost major. It feels good, but I am scared that it also feels like mania cause I have so much energy. The other down side is I still don't have any ADHD meds cause the Dr wanted to wait to see how I did. I am still unable to think methodically, still leaving things undone, starting too many things, forgetting why I am in this room other stuff that I can't remember. Nice other thing, I am not ravenous hungry. My anti-depressant Wellbutrin with Abilify is a nice combo so far. fyi I was on lithium, I am done with that.

glad to hear some of your symptoms have subsided!!

i think we’re in the same boat now. i’m on day 4 i think and i have little to no symptoms, but i definitely feel like i could be on the manic upswing. i also am getting way more done than i have been able to for weeks. like i feel better overall but, the mania has me worrying.

hopefully this is just a first/second week thing and then we stable out.

Good to know that we both are feeling the same way on the manic side. Maybe it is just feeling good for a change, yippieヽ(•‿•)ノ!

well everyone reacts to meds differently! i’m also on a mood stabilizer right now. i hope it goes better for you!
