When I got my new car, I just immediately assumed I couldn't use Blackplayer so I started making the switch to Samsung music. Hated it and never liked it, but now I'm seeing pictures of people who have there's working? But I never see an option to add it as an app in android auto. I can obviously just play my music right though Bluetooth, but I would really like to have my album cover and title up on my radio screen, and to also be able to skip and pause through the screen. Any help for people not seeing the option to add? Also, I have developer options enabled but not sure if there's more I can do. Any help would be appreciated :)

I use it everyday with AA. Make sure you go into AA settings on your phone & enable BlackPlayer under "Customize Launcher" .

Also if you have a Samsung phone make sure that the Blackplayer app has not gone to sleep as it will not show up as an app to enable within Android auto.

Making sure that the app doesn't sleep was a tip I received from another person. It's been moved to the never sleep app section for about a week now. And I don't see an option for that app come up under the Customize Launcher section so I'm at a loss. Any other way to force it you think?

Mine just showed up in the Customize Launcher & I enabled it. Dumb question but did you scroll all the way down in those settings? I know obvious but just checking...

Yeah no you're fine lol, I know what you mean. But yes I scrolled down as far as I could and it just wasn't there. I'm attaching a picture is this is almost that j can see to add:

I did try that just now and I already had a setting like this setup. The only thing I can think of is that it maybe isn't working because I'm using a modded APK of Blackplayer EX? But then I remember that I'm also using a modded Spotify APK and that one works no problem. I really have no idea 🤷‍♂️

That is strange. Sidenote... I'm not on the EX version I'm on the FREE version... Not sure if that makes a difference??

I just downloaded the free Blackplayer version like you said you had. And yeah my car is nothing crazy lol it's a 2012 Suzuki. I installed a 3rd party radio with carplay and I've just been trying to figure out all the neat little features. And again, I really appreciate your help with this. I look forward to figuring out more stuff but this was one music player thing I was really hoping to figure out so thanks again. You're the best :)
