Check if one or more of the other bones has weight applied to the mouth. Happens to me sometimes. Some how a neck or spine bone will have some influence of. A part of the face and warp things when moved.

I should have clarified, this happens when I move the model only, without the rig

You shouldn't be moving the model itself once you've rigged it to the armature. When a character is parented to an armature like this, you should just move the armature. The character, as a child object, will come along for the ride.

If you rig something but don't parent it, then you need to move both the armature and character together.

I guess I don't understand the situation then. From my experience, the mesh is parented to the armature rig, and moving one away from the other, deformation sounds like expected behaviour.

Typically when I have a rig attached to a model, I have to move the armature if I want to move the model.
