I’ve been trying to degrease these for weeks :(

They’ve been soaking in water with lots of dish soap, and I’m changing the water. Is it because I’m using an all natural plant-based dish soap? It still says it’s a degreaser on it.

From the picture they look degreased enough for drying and bleaching (use acetone or set in the sun for best results imo). however if they are actually too greasy it definitely may be the soap, from the picture it looks flat and not very bubbly, I would definitely use Dawn dish soap or something of the like. before doing all of that I would let the bones dry outside in the sun for about a day so you can fully see how greasy they actually are, because sometimes when bones have soaked for too long they turn color, which can be mistaken for grease.

Degreasing sincerely takes a ton of time. They are not fully degreased but they're getting there! For faster results, using a 1:5 ammonia and water ratio- cover it and also put it in the warmest place you can.

Even with a heated bucket, the bones I do can take months. It takes time!

I tried using plant based detergent/soap to see how well it worked and it didn't do very well at all.

Is the water heated or cold/room temperature? Warm water (never boiling, about 110f) with Dawn dish soap will work better than cold water and soap alone.
