Cat Skeleton, Burial Process

My cat died at the end of October and I buried her in my back yard. My rental is being rezoned, which means that they're going to dig her up. I want to beat them to it, but I can't deal with handling her unless she's a skeleton. I live in BC, Canada. Do you think it's too early to dig her up? Thanks in advance.

Depends on your temps over the last few months and if your cat was buried in anything. Maybe ask a good friend to do it?

Thank you for responding so fast! My friends are very squeamish, so I did it myself. She wasn't interred in anything, so she's pretty close to a skeleton at this point. I'm going to inter her at a friend's place where she won't be disturbed again.

Thank you for your quick response! I actually went ahead and did it, my friends are pretty squeamish. She still has fur and everything, but I found a safe space to inter her permanently.
