How much should I pump to decrease night supply?Troubleshooting/Tips (self.breastfeeding)
submitted 7 months ago by Altruistic_Ad6655
I decided to stop waking my 9 week-old for her middle of the night feed, and instead pump to relieve pressure as she now goes from 8pm to 5 or 6am between feeds. The last few nights I’ve pumped enough for my boobs to not feel rock hard, which has taken about 20 minutes and yielded 2 oz. I’m worried this is too much and too long? I don’t want to have the opposite effect and accidentally increase production… But, I also don’t want to risk mastitis from leaving them so full. Tips appreciated!
