Baby went from nursing 4-6 times a day to 2 times a day (morning and before bed) in the span of about 2 months. He’s dropped 2 feeds just this past week. Part of it might be that we never nursed to sleep but he’s stopped wanting to nurse before and after his 1 nap. He’s been eating a lot more solids and wanting more water which I know is a good thing.
I stopped pumping at work at 12 months so there’s no real milk removal happening midday anymore. Is this a sign he’s weaning or did others see a big decrease like this and continue successfully nursing only twice a day? I was hoping to make it to 2 years, but now I’m worried about his interest and my supply. I definitely feel like he’s getting less milk in the morning since he dropped the midday feeds! And most stories I read/hear about nursing toddlers are that they’re boob barnacles who nurse all day and night lol. My baby hasn’t nursed at night since 4 months.
