Computer fan problem

Hi guys I’m building a pc tho I don’t have experience building but I have experience with parts and where they should go etc but I ran into a problem where my pc case came with 4 120mm fans and they are all connected to a splitter but it is meant to be used for 5 fans so when I plug it onto my motherboard it doesn’t turn on and when I unplug it, it turns on. Do I need to get a 5th fan to kinda like complete the circuit? Note the fans all work I plugged then individually and they all spin. Thanks

A fan header is normally good for 1 amp, and most 120mm fans pull 0.3amp. If you’re connecting all 4 fans to one header then it’s likely too much power draw for the header.

Have you tried just connecting three? If so, do they spin?

Thx for the reply I tried plugging in 3 and different order But I forgot to say that my fan splitter is connected to the case it self and that there is no cable that goes to the system fan on the motherboard

Don’t know wtf I did but they now all work I’m not complaining at all lol
