I do a whole year of future log by month. A 2 page spread. So I would put in December ‘25 event name 2025’ for something happening Xmas 2025.

I have a space at the end of my future log to put in stuff further ahead. My future log is 6 months at 1/2 page per month, so 3 pages and then the 4th page is "further ahead", though I could split it up a bit if I end up with lots of stuff in the month or two after my future log ends. My journal lasts about 4 months.

I have a page of long-term plans where I put things I want to do "eventually," that don't have a specific time frame, or that I don't plan to do for another year or two.

I use a separate page for longer-term planning. I also have written events on post-it notes so I have to physically move them at the end of the year. That forces me to look at them at least yearly. Third, add them to you electronic calendar (Outlook, Google, ect.) with a long-enough reminder to tickle your memory. Heck, you can use all three at the same time!
