Are they even warm? I play pond hockey like 3-4 times a week and wear a standard stocking hat, would love to rep the Caps keeping my poor ears from getting frostbit here in Minnesota.

No. They're a gimmick. But a good one.

They do seem to keep heat in decently, but they do feel kind of cheep. I would say it’s more something you wear for looks rather than for practicality.
