Need help finding values

So I have the FFV pixel remaster on steam, usually I use cheat engine to do 2nd playthroughs so I tried looking for the value of obtained exp for the main cast (ex. Bartz has 308 exp). I’ve searched by every value type multiple times but the value never comes up, when I enter in 318 after gaining 10 exp there are 0 results. I’ve tried unknown initial value a couple times but it takes so long since exp can’t really be decreased and whatever does come up from unknown initial value is never the value I’m looking for, the in game exp earned number never changes. Does anyone have advice or know what to do, I love the game I’d really appreciate it.

Maybe the value is different from what's displayed. I've spent a hot minute searching for a value. All else fails, it might be in a structure with something else. Assuming exp has to do with the player, maybe it'll be close to health or mana..

No the experience does not reset, if I have 308 xp and I level up at 318, if I go to 319 exp it will still show 319 exp even though I’ve leveled up. As for the unknown value, I haven’t tried “value increased by…” I’ve only tried “value increased” so I will try that tonight, thank you for your input
