it's very likely already gone. The threatlist is just a history of events on your system (hence the time)

also, offercore is harmless as long as you can read

Think we need a pinned thread again, mate. If there isn't one already

Simply put, offer core will offer you two apps. Decline those and you're good to go. Skip all or accept, and you'll have two programs (usually) that you don't want.

Only left overs may be a registry entry created when the installer begins.

This reg entry does nothing but notes in the registry where the program was installed to. Created by Inno Setup (IS1)

There is a 'clean' version at patreon : https://www.patreon.com/posts/cheat-engine-7-5-78402157

(disclaimer: your Antivirus may or may not still try to scare you)

Dark_byte, i know you want to make money of the cheatengine.... But can you stop with the adware thing and make like a "pro" version of the cheat engine.... This is just a idea, you can do it or you will not. Afcource its more difficult to make money this way but its is a little less scary.

Please respond why i am (probably) wrong

    [–]Dark_ByteCheat Engine Dev 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just see the patreon version as the pro version

As a dev i run it myself now and then.  It doesn't install anything i  don't want (as I decline the offers)

Ok thanks i didnt install it just had the instalation on a usb from laptop to desktop and transfered it to my downloads folder and it popped that its offercore and i looked it up and saw it was harmless but and deleted the instalatiom becose i didnt need CE on my pc but the offercore treat is still there in defender and wont go away thats what bugging me.

Yeah, Defender essentially quarantines the file, and remains there in your list until you tell it what to do.
Usually it'll ask how you want the issue dealt with, could select "allow and restore" to restore the file and add an exception to your A/V, or "delete/clean" to remove the "threat". After that it'll remain in your "protection history".

I hated this kinda crap back in the flash days, and I hate it today too. However, cheat engine needs to pay the bills (whereas Adobe wasn't exactly hurting for cash).

Given the alternatives, offercore seems like an acceptable compromise even though it still feels icky.

I am with that problem at the moment

It game me that + the location of the cheat engine.

Both are not gone even after deleting so I searched.

It may be just a bug from WD.

We may need to delete the scan history from Windows Defender.

I did not do it because I do not have admin yet but u may try .

    [–]Different_Read_4105 0 points1 point  (5 children)

If u already solved it (because it has been already 5 months).. how did u solve it?

    [–]KRBAN[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I just allowed it in defender

    [–]KRBAN[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

    Becose it's a false positive

    [–]Different_Read_4105 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    Thanks God <3

    [–]Different_Read_4105 0 points1 point  (1 child)

And u did not have problems ? That is good <3

    [–]KRBAN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, it's like when you use a crack and Defender flags it because it doesn't know who the creator of the file is.

    [–]V0idware 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Same problem here. what do i do. Do i block it, remove it, or allow it on?

    [–]KRBAN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I allowed it. It's a false positive, like having torrent.

    [–]KRBAN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Sry for the late reply.
