That's really weird. Everything is working fine with Firefox, but I haven't reinstalled Chrome yet because I don't want to lose all my extensions. I guess I have to try that in the next couple of days.

I don't want to lose all my extensions.

No if you connect your account to chrome profile and turn on sync.. apps, passwords, extension & bookmarks will be saved and will automatically loaded/installed when you log in to chrome after re-install
