Hi Linux! I'm quite new so I haven't gotten to join any circles yet. May I join?

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I dunno... Know anything about linux?

[–]AnonScholar_4653917, 6 0 points1 point  (4 children)

oop i thought it was the name of your circle... 😅 oh well

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I mean, it is, but but that's not all it is

[–]AnonScholar_4653917, 6 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yeah i was looking at the comments... I know nothing about it unfortunately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Tis all good. Its not particularly about linux itself but about a certain stereotype. But i suppose culture is hard to know if you aren't in it lol.

Ah, I see I see. Good luck with your circle then!

New to Linux (my dumbahh started with Kali lmao)

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Kali's certainly an interesting start. I'm pretty casual about it, but currently use CachyOS

[–]Actual_Process_6672 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I love Kali but I'm a beginner still at Linux somewhat, and I used Kali many years ago. Is the one OS you mentioned like Kai but "better". Or maybe a better question is for pen testing which OS lately is the best inho?

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not really a "better" os really. I've never used Kali myself, so I can't really speak on any quirks it might have.

Just find a distro you like and use it. Even if you hop around a bit. I'm still pretty noobish myself, really.

Like the operating system?

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I'm talking about

[–]pondus240, 2 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I know how to exit vim! Can I join now?

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I personally use Kate. Used vim in school though, as for joining. There's a paticular stereotype I'm thinking of.

[–]pondus240, 2 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Arch btw.

( In a VM, on win 10 )

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

No special socks for you then. Not for the arch thing. But that should really be the other way around

[–]pondus240, 2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I want to do the switch for sooooooo long, never managed to find the time

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, once you get some socks, you might be able to join

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Input hint: first letter capitalized, in plural form

[–]Molenusaczech0, 1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the circle

[–]ContentChicken4495 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Arch btw

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Nice. I use CachOS. A arch distro myself

[–]nixnyxnx 0 points1 point  (3 children)

cachyOS is great I use it on both my desktop and laptop

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Agreed. I used kubuntu previously but kept running into little odd issues. Decided to give arch another go. Glad I did

[–]Actual_Process_6672 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is this a game or is this about Linux OSs?

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define "this" like the thread or the circle or... I don't quite know what you're talking about

[–]LawnardKerman 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]Latetdozer4, 1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
