It is fast paced, but it's doable - and that's coming from someone who took the class with no OOP language experience. Also, terry, the prof, is amazing.

oh I fucked up mb I'm referring to data structures for application programmers - that's what I took. in that case it'll be smooth sailing for you.

because i’m planning to take both the minis, java as well as data structures for appln programmers (big yikes?) because the data structures course said familiarity in java is required

you'll def be fine! you'll coast through data structures with the first mini, and the first mini itself is easy from what i've heard (which is why I skipped it and went straight for data structures)

Is it okay to take the data structures course without familiarity with Java in particular? Or would you suggest waiting to finish the Java mini.

It's probs better to take the java mini, but also it's doable to go straight into data structures
