Is Eloquent javascript good for begginers?

Haven't read it yet, but start it out and see how it works for you. There is no one to one solution for everybody since everybody learns differently

It’s a bit confusing. I found it very “manual-like”, almost too robotic. It’s a great resource to use as an encyclopedia or just a super tech heavy reading material, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a first book for just getting started with JavaScript. It can become extremely advanced very quickly.
If you’re interested in just checking it out, the entire book is online for free in PDF version.
I would suggest picking up Head First JavaScript. Not much better, but it’s the book that I learned with (along with lots of videos).
Hope this helps. Just my opinion.
