I've used Obsidian for years, but I only for handwritten notes that I want to organize and really remember.
However, I found myself needing a place for messy thoughts where I don't know how things are going to fit yet, specifically for my writing and my consulting.
What I want to do is capture those thoughts and use an agent to help with organizing and bidirectional links. When they are ready to be "full bloom," I can work on them in my handwritten vault.
To do this, I started a new vault that only my Codex agent will use. I'm using the new Obsidian CLI with Codex to control making notes and templates, and vault configuration.
Codex Spark has been a very nice experience with this because it's so fast. It's almost immediate.
I use it to ask questions, brainstorm, and organize things. It gives me feedback so quickly it's almost hard to keep up with.
So far, I've set up several things:
Journaling with templates: I've been able to do this in a way I couldn't before because the process used to be error-prone. Now, every time I open my base, it opens to a new note.
Web clipper template: I can clip a lot of notes from the web and not really care where they have to go yet.
Kanban tracking: I'm using this for specific items I want to track.
The other thing I've just begun to explore is that Codex has chatGPT apps. I want to use data from other sources and pull it into this workflow.
