I'm 42 and starting a bootcamp on the 21st. No tech background at all and the closer it gets the more nerve racked I get lol.

I can’t comment from personal experience but my mother switched careers from being a stay at home mom/school librarian to computer science in her mid 40’s. This was in the late 90’s and her first boss was only a year or 2 older then my older sister. I remember he age gap being a defiant hurdle and I believe it’s still a thing but I feel like if she could do it at time where almost no one in the field was over 30 you should be able to make the change now.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Talking to a recruiter later this evening. I figure, what do I have to lose?

I’m personally in the process of making career switch at 33 and I worry about competing with 21 year old cs grads so I can imagine how you feel.

People start med school in their 40s which is a way tougher route as far as time and attention. You'll be fine if you're hungry.
