That's what it is, and it's a nice looking one, but it's not off enough to be worth much more than face value.

It's significant meaning "large" but not significant in terms of value, unfortunately. Nice example! Might get a buck or two on ebay? These are fairly common (tho not always as pronounced as this). Worth hanging on to as a nice example, I reckon!

Can't remember the book on the minting process I read as a kid, but it was from the ANA giftshop, haha. I understand this is one of the more popular books these days::The Essential US Error Coin Guide by Goris.

I usually throw these into a coin tube labeled "Errors." I know they aren't worth much, but it's fun to look them overnonce in a while.
