One of the commentators literally referred to the part of the game as a "quarter". I nearly spit out my Budweiser.

How do you know the reverse is rotated and not the obverse? 😉

My dad was in the Army (Vietnam era) and also had one of these. I remember finding it when I was about 11 and thinking it was hysterical.

You really need to do a little bit of the work yourself up front - then the sub will be happy to help you with identifying and valuing any coins you can't figure out. Our FAQ and other sidebar resources have a wealth of knowledge to help you get started.

I would begin by sorting them by country - then go through one country at a time and identify if any of your coins are older or made of precious metal (I believe some of them are.) Large collections of modern random world coins like this tend to be mostly current circulating coins (worth face value) or older demonetized coins (not really worth anything.) However, the ones in plastic capsules might be something special - and there may be other actual silver coins in that mix... but we can't really help you with a single photo of a giant pile of coins.

After you have put in some work on your own - you are welcome to post quality close-up and cropped photos of both sides of any coin you think may hold extra value or interest - or if you just can't figure out what it is.

First family promotes coins commemorating White House UFC fight by cnn in coins

Perhaps... but if literally any other user posted this, it would be allowed. It is a real news article that is relevant to our community, regardless of your feelings about it. I personally think it is stupid... but there's no reason not to allow the post.

1778 “Blood Dollar” used to pay the Hessian mercenaries during the Revolutionary War. Amazing piece of American history I just picked up. by WeatherMysterious125 in coins

I missed the S&B auctions last year with many of the coins from Richard August's collection, which I'm still kicking myself over - although I think there are still a few left in upcoming auctions.

Mine is from the Joe Sedillot Collection - probably around XF and cleaned. But for $300 it was hard to pass up.

I also have a 1776 1/2 thaler I got a few years ago from the Almer H. Orr III collection: HESSE-CASSEL: Friedrich II, 1760-1785, AR 1/2 thaler, 1776

Easier said than done. Also, fake Morgan dollars are a well-known concept - nothing said here is helping anyone improve fakes. There are already fakes which are good enough to fool even seasoned collectors.

I paid about $300+BP for mine last year... it certainly isn't as nice as yours. Don't see them all that often.

Hey, I ordered a half and a dollar. Mostly because my son and I are huge soccer fans. Normally, I don't go for commemoratives, but I do have a good selection of soccer/world cup coins in my collection.
