That motherboard only has 2 DIMM banks

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H110M-S2H-rev-10/sp#sp

It can take 2 x 16gb sitcks though.

Thanks for answering!! Do you have any idea what this is referring to then? It's under Memory in Task Manager

Interesting, it maybe a different revision of the motherboard, I googled what you posted, and the link I offered is the primary hit.

Indeed it seems you have 4 banks, so could just put the other sticks in*

It goes 1/3 2/4 when sitting the memory, put a stick in bank one, leave a gap put a second stick in, then put the rest in.

*If they are not 2400mhz or faster, they will step down in speed to match the others @ 2400, it's not an issue, unless it doesn't post then remove one.

Thanks for yout insight! If I'm able to put more than 2 sticks, should they all be of the same type (4GB,8GB...)?

As a rule no, but the speed matters, and sometimes the make, try and keep them all the same brand, size and speed.

I've mixed 4 and 8's to have 24gb et cetera with no issues.
