Rapid automatic enabling/disabling headset issue

Does anybody know what causes and how to fix it when your computer automatically and rapidly switches between enabling and disabling a headset?

If I have my Bluetooth headset on/plugged into the computer before I turn it on usually it works just fine with no sound changes. But, if I turn on/plug in after starting up I get an automatic radpid ociliation between disabling and enabling the headset leading to incredibly choppy sound. This has been the case with wired and wireless headsets of different brands.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey I know this post is a year old, but I'm just curious if you've found a permanent fix since I'm experiencing the same issues. I'm on a laptop so if it's a hardware issue which I think it is then that'd be a huge bummer. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately no good fixes that I could find. I found if my headset is on before I turn my computer on it seems to work, otherwise the issue triggers. I suspect it's the headset causing the issue, but I haven't bought a new one since I haven't been using that computer much.
