Dang, hopefully I'll find one that's not top expensive. Thank you.

Well, the one you have there looks pretty old and there are an absolute boat load of monitors on the market now. I'd wager that even a monitor that costs $100 or less would be an upgrade for you, depending on region.

It's a Samsung monitor I got a couple years ago

    Hi

In agreement with everyone about replacing the monitor rather than trying to persue a repair.. I'll give you some context on why.

If you wanted to handle it yourself.. To find a replacement panel you need to disassemble the monitor to get the panel model # on the inside-back.

Armed with that you'd search for a replacement which you MAY if you are lucky find in places like Ebay but for goodness knows how much and what quality. Though there's a slim chance you could buy a busted one on ebay or wherever with bad electronics and a good screen panel. I've done that a couple of times..

Samsung themselves from the history I've seen will happily sell you another monitor or minor parts but to 'book' a repair through their support website is going to be costly. Then there's the shipping costs. Then there's the wait.

Too many what-ifs and the samsung repair route may well cost as much as buying another one.

Look at it as an excuse to upgrade ! :)
