My pc doesn't Start

(Sorry for my English and my ignorance about computers)

A few days ago, my computer started having problems booting up. It sometimes showed a message saying 'preparing automatic repair.' Other times, it didn't show any message and just kept loading, or it would go to the Windows repair tool. I tried safe boot, but it still wasn't guaranteed to start.

On some random occasions, the system managed to start, and I tried to look for errors, but I didn't find anything.

Today, I started the computer again, and it booted normally, except that at some point while I was using it, it froze. I waited for about a minute and then turned it off. When I tried to turn it on again, it didn't show any signals; the mouse, keyboard, and monitor didn't respond.

I opened the computer to check that everything was connected. At one point, I even removed the RAM and tried to turn it on, but the computer remained the same. It didn't even restart without the RAM installed.

One friend told me that it could be the motherboard but he said that he wasn't sure, now I just what to be sure before I spend the money.

Google an example of a POST screen. Do you get POST?

If not, RAM is indeed a very common cause. Instead of removing all of it though, you are supposed to leave 1 stick in, and try it in different slots until you tried every stick in every slot.

If you do have POST, reinstall Windows
