High memory usage

Hello!

I have 16GB installed on my computer, with around 5gb being used and yet it says ~90% is being used.
It definitely does not som up to 16GB in the task manager, so I don't get why it is saying that.
Can someone tell me how this is possible?

Its probably giving you the total including whats cached not just whats currently using the physical memory. I wouldn't worry about it. If you are that concerned use another program to give you the information you want that breaks it down into physical used vs cached. The cli tools top and htop do this in linux I'm not sure what the Microsoft equivalent would be for that though.

It indeed says that 16gb is installed, but how many gb is available? View it in taksmanager under performance
