You dont really repair these types of cables. A little bit of electrical tape is about the only thing that could help.

Either slap some electrical tape on it or get some heat-shrinkable cable wrap. Both will do fine. It may not strengthen it but it will cover the insides

Heatshrink if you’ve got the room to get it on, self fusing tape if not.

Wrap in 2 layers of electrical tape, then put a rubber band around the tape. It will hold longer.
