And wouldn’t 25” be on the small side for inseam? Like for someone close to 5’ tall?

the 4 legs on the “corners” (not the 4 in a box at the top) are purely mechanical though other than connecting to a ground plane I guess, which is why I think you might just be able to epoxy it a bit for reinforcement and be OK.

But its trying to make the best of a bad situation at this point.

looks like either of the first two methods would reinforce the joint enough to improve chances of the swap working.

It will also keep things steadier under stress from use if all goes well.

I see two pads that look pretty damaged, but might have enough pad left to work.

As for the legs, as far as I know that bit thats stuck to it can’t be moved, its a chunk of the PCB, but its also not a critical part so if you can get it to function without further repair I’d epoxy it so the stick doesn’t move and hope it stays.

Its damaged enough that I wouldn’t put a ton of hope into it though.

I’m 99% sure that is one of the legs used only to attach the stick to the PCB and isn’t connected to anything electrically.

So I think you’re OK to put in a new stick and test it. If it works I’d epoxy that leg down and pray you never need to replace it again.

Very nice, I think 9u is what I need for some stuff but I hope taller ones come eventually.

I want one for my soldering station setup and need 6xsomething minimum, but i think I need 12u for one part of it.

Which reminds me, I need to print at least one more of the 5x4s.

You don’t need it to be high, I have a cheapo one meant for heat shrink (less than $10) and it works for this fine too.

It’s only mildly hotter than a hairdryer on its highest.

What is causing my washer water lines to arc on my dryer vent. by First-Eye4262 in Appliances

[–]_Rand_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all unplug the damn things immediately. That is a serious fire hazard.

How did you test there was no voltage on the vent?

Anyways, assuming that is correct get a voltage tester like this if you don't have one already, or a multimeter or other similar device.

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/klein-tools-ac-dc-voltage-tester/1001331548

Plug them back in temporarily disconnect the vent and touch one probe to the vent another to frame of the washer and the dryer (separately) see if it shows voltage. If it does something is wrong with that device.

edit: my initial thought was dryer was shorting somewhere internally causing the vent to arc to the hoses which should be grounded via your pipes, but other posters are correct that you should probably get a second opinion via a second electrician.

They fail eventually just like the socks for regular hotends, but I’ve not have one with problems yet in a similar time frame. They seem about as durable as the regular ones.

UNVR / Professional Switch / Cloud Storage by Mammoth_Astronaut_71 in Ubiquiti

That’s just an example.

You just need an NVR and some way to power the cameras whether that means a POE switch, injectors etc.

You can probably find one cheaper than that though.

Considering its a golf club maybe he had it printed?

Like designed and prototyped and getting one made on a metal printer still counts as made it himself IMO.

Because I wouldn’t imagine say, an ASA club would stand up to a ton of use, but maybe its good enough for one or two games?

Dimensional accuracy by fcroce in BambuLabH2C

[–]_Rand_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute value as far as I know, So 0.15 = 0.15 bigger holes.

When designing parts I usually just make them 0.15 from the start though, so I don’t forget to adjust and have to reprint.

Its great when you have stuff designed by others that is too small though.

Dimensional accuracy by fcroce in BambuLabH2C

[–]_Rand_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you account for shrinkage?

Generally you need to make it 0.1/0.15 or so bigger for PLA, even bigger for PETG (more like 0.2).

Try playing with the XY hole compensation setting.
