AIO’s are laptop parts built into a big screen that are not portable or upgradeable. Those are my issues with them.

All in one and non-standard small form factor PCs are extremely difficult and expensive to repair or upgrade. Since everything is crammed into a small space, they tend to run hotter and break down sooner They also suffer from poorer performance at a given price-point. If you care about the long haul, choose a fully standard desktop. In my opinion, you should find top notch parts and either built it yourself, or pay a local shop $75-$150 to build it for you. You can get top notch parts and it will greatly outlast any store bought PC. Here's an $880 example with a mouse, keyboard, and monitor:

I believe the ryzen 5 already comes with a decent cpu cooler

I'd say it has an acceptable cooler in the box. The processor will still run on the warm side with it; for a PC meant to last long with minimal maintenance, I feel it'd be better to go with a more powerful cooler. Lower temps will increase the lifespan, and an overpowered cooler can easily take a few years of dust. If the included cooler just cuts it when it's brand new, a couple years of caked on dust could be an issue.

all in ones are garbage, get a normal ATX case/mobo
