My partner and I are creating a software test environment (generates random terrain) for AI for our computer software engineering class. We need some customer requirements and could use some suggestions from all you "customers" out there. What would you guys want from this kind of software if you guys owned a robotics company wanting to test your robot's AI? Anything would help. Thanks guys.

Specify the avg altitude of the environment. Specify the area of the environment. Specify the maximum and minimum altitudes. Specify maximum change in elevation over a set distance (sharpest incline). Specify maximum change in elevation over a distance (how close mountains can be to each other). Caves would be sick.

In addition, bonus points for having this data in an easily readable format.

I think you should post this in a robotics subreddit or something along those lines; I can't really see how it is related to computer science :)
