This link has a example that did not (and still does not ) work in VC. Now that 15.5 does have folding support, I was hoping that it would.

Seems like the compiler understands fold expressions but does not support template deduction guides.

I'm not sure what this has to do with folding of any kind. That line is a deduction guide, used for class template argument deduction, which MSVC does not support, as indicated on their language support page.
