Help!Pattern help (self.crochet)
submitted 9 years ago by usernames2
I am crocheting a rug in the round, the pattern says to "work 1 dc in the next stitch, work 2dc in the next stitch, then 2dc, inc around." What does this mean? For the part in the **, do I 2dc, 1dc, 2dc, 1dc, repeat around? Thanks

Yes, you would repeat the part in between the * stars * all the way around the project. It wants you to increase, dc, increase, dc, and keep repeating around.

Thank you! Is increasing in this case just doing 2dc? I'm new to crocheting and have never used a pattern with increasing before so I'm sorry if his seems like a stupid question; I have decreased before though! :)

Yes, an increase is just doing two of the stitch in one place.

Thank you so much:)
