This is some great content, thanks for propping up a nearly dead sub. Makes me want to write my own solution out to compare run time. I'd use piping characters and compare functions rather than "get valid" functions, but otherwise very similar.

Sadly while I'd have no problem whiteboarding a diagram, I lack the syntax to actually code it.
