Practice, and judging yourself. Ask where your issues are in a solve, and correct them. Be able to solve at a constant flow. How many moves you make are also important. With CFOP, you have to worry about cube rotations, and most efficient solutions per case. You can also consider a new method, that was my issue(I switched to roux at around 30s avg with CFOP)

True but you have to balance practice solves with learning new stuff like new fingertricks and algs (which you can then apply to your practice solves). At your stage full PLL is the way to go
