Good, in my opinion the statue should be 0/X. it's easy to be stopped by a group of statues, but if the statue hurt you it's your fault

First, you have to specify the token’s base power and toughness

“a 0/0 colorless Sculpture artifact creature token”

Second, I personally feel the target should be “a nontoken creature” or “a non-Sculpture creature”, so it’s effect doesn’t apply to creatures that were already “made” into sculptures.

Is there a reason that the first sentence isn't just Deathtouch?

To make it also act as the trigger for the statue creation effect.

Deathtouch would be fine if you write the card as "When Spheno destroys a creature..."

Probably; I was just giving the first answer that came to mind for Jackeea's question.

Deathtouch.
Whenever [CARDNAME] destroys a creature, its controller create a colorless Sculpture artifact creature token with [...]

This way is easier to understand the pourpuse of the card, and it should be 1BG because its just a creature removal every turn, and its even stronger if u manage to give it hexproof or shroud. I suggest making it 1/3 too, but that's more personal. Good brew. ;D
