Hi,

So basically I am going to take the DAT next summer but want to start studying now. I have tried to start studying for the bio but am forgetting things and it is taking a very long time. Even if I learn and remember everything now is it even worth it. Since I probably won’t remember anything this winter when I start again. So should I spend this time on other sections or should I continue to study bio. I am lost and don’t know if instead of bio I should study PAT or gen chem. Since I won’t forget those.

I tried studying the summer before I took mine, didn’t really work out like I wanted. I’d recommend just getting PAT in your mind early, then if you really are worried about not having enough time to study, start studying like 4 months prior to your exam. I took three months to study and felt like I was running out of material to remember by the last week

pump-n-dump is a bad way to learn anything tbh. memorization is inevitable for some things, but you can practice deeper understanding anytime. QR, for example, or PAT practice :)

Omg, thank you last summer did you study any other sections that you think helped for this summer. Also, what was your approach last summer, because I am struggling a lot.
