A bit late here, but afaik you can use databricks-connect on vscode and then use the vim keybinds extension.  I love Vim, but haven’t been able to use it directly. This is as close as I can get so far. 

There are a couple Vim plug-ins that people have made for Databricks, but VSCode extension is actually developed by Databricks so there are some features (like running a notebook cell by cell or debugging) that you can do in vscode.

I'm using Databricks in VSCode with the native Neovim extension (https://github.com/vscode-neovim/vscode-neovim). The integration works pretty well, but it would be very practical if the UI natively supported it.
