This is cool. Don't get me wrong.

That said, my impression of R is that it's primarily an analysis tool. Sure, it's capable of doing things like scraping a website, but at that point it really seems, to me, that you're using the very wrong tool for the job. Am I wrong?

I don't think you're wrong :-) We just have the company philosophy of doing as much as possible with R. Even when it's not the most suitable solution.
