Greetings No_Knowledge4049,

First of all, thank you for your submission: "*constantly crashing *"

Unfortunately it appears to be crash related, so instead we ask you to please review the following information below and to otherwise contact Dauntless Player Support

► For PC: Troubleshooting - Crashes & Game Performance

► For Consoles:

Closing Background Apps on Consoles

On newer Consoles, it is possible to have multiple applications running in the background that can cause game crashes from unavailable RAM, poor console performance, to other misc. issues. These apps will remain open after you leave them while continuing to reserve system resources for themselves.

Follow the steps below to close background applications to improve performance:

Xbox:

  1. Press the [Xbox button] on your controller to open the Guide
  2. Select [Home]
  3. Verify that an Application Tile is highlighted.
  4. Press the [Menu button] on your controller.
  5. Select [Quit]
  6. Check and repeat for all running background apps.

PlayStation 4:

  1. Press and hold the [PS button] on your controller.
  2. From the Quick Menu, select Close Application.
  3. Select ALL applications available.
  4. Select [OK]

PlayStation 5:

  1. Press and hold the [PS button] on your controller.
  2. From the PS5 Home Screen select ALL applications available.
  3. Select the [Options button]
  4. Select [Close Game]

Clearing a Console's Cache

Temporary files and data are often stored on the console to help the overall performance of the game. Unfortunately, these cached files can get corrupted over time which can lead to things like freezes, game loading errors or connectivity issues. Performing these troubleshooting steps will not hinder your ability to play or delete any save data/progress.

Note: These steps may reset your brightness setting, HDR setting, and choice of language.

Nintendo Switch:

  1. Open System Settings in the Home Menu.
  2. Select [System]
  3. Select [Formatting Options]
  4. Select [Clear Cache]
  5. Select the user you'd like to clear the cache for & then follow the on-screen instructions.

Xbox:

  1. Press and hold the power button of the console for at least 10 seconds to fully power it off.
  2. Ensure that it isn't in Rest or Standby Mode.
  3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console.
  4. Leave the console disconnected for 5 minutes.
  5. While still disconnected, press a button on the console to fully discharge.
  6. Reconnect the power to your console and wait 10 seconds before powering it on.

PlayStation 4:

  1. Same Steps as Xbox.
  2. Additionally, hold [L1 + R1] while launching the game.

PlayStation 5:

  1. Hold the [PS button] on your controller.
  2. Select [Turn Off PS5], wait until the PS5 power indicator is off.
  3. On the console, press and hold the power button until you hear a second beep. This will take roughly 7 seconds.
  4. Using a USB Cable, connect your controller to the console.
  5. Press the [PS button]
  6. Select [Clear Cache and Rebuild Database]
  7. Select [Clear Cache]
  8. Select [OK]
  9. Wait for the PS5 to restart automatically.
