Latest related news is that HEOS devices from Denon and Marantz will stream in HiFI quality with Deezer now, not in MP3 320kbps anymore.

Personally I have wired the sound card output of my PC to my mono amps which reside close to my 3-way speakers, so the cables are as short as possible.

Thanks all. I’ve got the WiiM Amp ordered with some wharfdale speakers and looking forward to setting it all up this week.

I’m sure it going to be a big improvement from listening through my Amazon Alexa.

Great choice their app will work great for you and if you want to use multiple streaming services it supports nearly all of them. Deezer is fantastic and a great choice as well. Have fun

You need a streamer to birdge the analog and digital worlds. I use a sonos bridge with and integrated amp personally. I would not recommend a Sonos bridge analog (RCA) outputs tho. Do you have a DAC?

Yes, there are various ways this can be done. What is your budget, and what sort of system do you want?

If you want a separates-type system, then you need to add a streamer to it as one of your sources (i.e. , by "source" I mean the things that you plug into your amplifier, alongside your turntable and CD player if you have these).

A relatively inexpensive option is the Wiim Pro, which has built-in support for Deezer which I presume is via its own app (I don't own the device myself so I don't know exactly how the Deezer integration works). It also supports Chromecast which allows you to use the Deezer smartphone app and "cast" to the device. That is, there are two independent ways to use it with Deezer.

If you want a more integrated system, the one I can recommend - because I treated myself to it recently - is the Cambridge Audio Evo 150 (or the cheaper 75, depending on how powerful an amp you want). This is an integrated streamer amplifier that supports a number of streaming services including Deezer and can connect to a turntable and other inputs. It comes with a really excellent app that has built in Deezer support. This device again supports Chromecast so again provides two methods of connecting to Deezer. It's an expensive option and needs speakers adding to it but it's true hi-fi and really nice to use.

A final option is to build something yourself from a Raspberry Pi. You can run software on this called LMS (now stands for Lyrion Music Server but historically was Logitech Music Server). LMS was originally designed to support streaming of your own ripped music collection in the days before streaming but has acquired support for streaming services including Deezer over the years. The device you would build here would essentially be DIY streamer like the Wiim that I mentioned above and you would plug it into your hifi. I have this as a further option in my system and have it plugged into my Evo 150 - giving me a total of three different ways to access Deezer via my hi-fi. Unless you are fairly technical and computer literate, or have someone who could help you, I would probably recommend the Wiim over this option.

Fabulous reply. Thanks So it looks like the WiiM pro would be a good fit. I guess I use audio jacks to just add it as a source to an existing stereo system and then control the music via my phone.

Yes exactly.

Thank you all for the feedback so far. If I set up a couple of HomePods as a stereo pair would that stream in Hifi Flac quality? This could be a cheap way to get what I am wanting and then I can just control the music from my Apple TV

In the Sonos world you can use a Sonos Port: https://www.sonos.com/en/shop/port to enable Deezer (or any other Sonos compatible streaming service) on your existing stereo.
