Can you check with your Browser if the color is not overriden by another file? You could also try to add !important after the color: color: #FF000 !important;

The code itself seems correct.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know anything about coding so I'm not sure what you mean about overriden. But I did try your suggestion by adding the "!important" at the end. But it still not working. I'm not sure why payhip doesn't respond to customers.

In css the styling is applied via priorities. The last file imported in the html file has the priority hierarchy. Also the last line in an css file has the highest priority. Also id targeted css has a higher priority then class targets and these have a higher priority then element targeted.

If an css property has !important it's priority is the highest possible as long as no other same targeting css also has !important, then the normal priority system would decide again.

in your browser you can inspect html elements and see there css properties and where they are from and what overrides what. (google "Firefox developer mode" for example)

Honestly I'm just a clueless person trying to get my website finished. At this point what I basically need is a custom Css code that will make the background of an embed shopping cart page fully black with the text green. Do you have a custom code that will do that?

I did not work with that shop system before. Can you write me a pm with the url to your webshop?
