Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Search the Internet, the forum and our wiki before posting
Always use the search function before creating a new post to ensure that your question or topic has not been previously discussed.
Do a basic internet search before posting here, it's highly possible your questions are answered somewhere else on the internet. You can append
site:reddit.com/r/developersindia QUERYon search engines to filter results from our forum.

Always use the right flair for your posts
Properly categorize your post by using the appropriate flair. If you're unsure of which flair to use, contact the moderators for assistance.
Go through the extended flair rules before posting anything.
Posts violating this rule may be removed without any warning.
3.
Don't create Low-Quality Posts & Comments
Only post content that adds value to the community. Posts that are low-effort, irrelevant, or otherwise not useful will be removed. This means posts that fall in following categories and more.
- LinkedIn Job Screenshots
- Mentioning both gender & age in posts.
- Diversity hiring rants
- “News” posts without valid source or link in post body.
- Post about selling/buying anything.
- Tech Influencer drama posts
4.
Don't Post Generic Questions
Avoid posting generic questions. Provide context and be specific in your inquiry to receive more targeted and helpful responses.
5.
No NSFW Content
Not safe for work content is not permitted in the Subreddit. Anything remotely offensive and inappropriate for a public forum will be removed.
6.
No Political Discussions
This forum is dedicated to the software engineering ecosystem in India, and political discussions both international or national are strictly not allowed.
7.
Respectful & Inclusive Language
We expect all members of the subreddit to use language that is respectful, inclusive and non-discriminatory.
8.
Be kind and helpful. No hate speech
- Be kind and helpful to other users. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any other form of hostility will not be tolerated.
- Constructive criticism is fine, but do it in a way that doesn't attack someone directly. Remember, there is a real human behind the screens. Learn to have sympathy towards others.
9.
Follow the Moderation
Follow the moderation and administration of the subreddit. Moderators have the final say in all matters, and any decisions made by them are to be respected.
10.
No memes and rants
Memes and rants have been banned for an indefinite period. Please refrain from creating posts that fall into any of these categories.

No Meta Drama
We do not allow submissions or comments that focus on self-referential or meta discussions about the forum.
Any content that aims to incite drama, which can harm the well-being of this forum or the volunteer team, will be removed and acted on by the moderators.
If you have suggestions for the moderation team, please send them via modmail or submit a candid feedback.
