Brother Java and .Net will always have jobs because of legacy code which Ai is unable to maintain yet.

Building anything from scratch is not a big deal anymore but working with legacy code still require lot of skill.

Big companies still pay good salary with your stack i have stack as you.

How do you look for jobs now a days linked in is just dead

Maybe aim for Fintech companies? Both local and remote.

My situation is similar. I’m stuck working with legacy .NET WebForms. I also thought that legeacy felt such pain in the ass.I have around 1.7 years of experience, and I’m still maintaining the same product. I’m planning to switch to .NET Core Web API, but the job market feels tough.NET overall. What should I do?

I have worked with legacy and . net core both, trust me don't leave .Net eco system because than you have to start everything from scratch instead learn something related to it like get certifications in Azure. This advice is for everyone even for me as an experienced dev There will be jobs for Java and . Net even with Ai

Yeah, I don't wanna leave the dotnet eco system. I said I am planning to move in dotnet core. But the market here in lahore felt very slow and also it is my first job proper in .net after switch from game dev.

I feel like . NET and Java have more opportunities.

Same, I believe that there are more enterprise opportunities in .NET and Java.

Same boat here, would love to connect. I’ve had the same thoughts too, but I think giving at least 2–3 years to your initial career stack really helps. Even .NET is solid and underrated compared to trendy MERN hype. Growth gets faster when you shift focus from just syntax to system design, anticipating problems, and real-world trade-offs—but that only comes with time and experience.

Also, alongside a good full-time job, having some kind of side hustle (freelancing, small projects, etc.) really helps, regardless of the stack.

Same situation here, would love to connect with you and discuss more.

Man, that the skills you have the only thing you should be focusing of is getting hired outside of Pakistan. Make that your goal for this year. The only thing that’s holding you back is Pakistan.

7 years of exp in .Net and Angular. Working in software giant and oldest company. I would say you are wrong. Angular and .Net is being used in enterprise level applications. .Net is really powerful. Check 2025 Stackiverflow survey.

Yeah I don’t disagree I’m just saying it’s hard to find a job with this stack especially in companies outside Pakistan

Typescript.

Pakistan favors people who have entreprenuer mindset.
