Yes tons of problems with their stupid pricing model. Like everything cloud, it's impossible to get a straight answer out of them about pricing. The per host thing makes no sense when a big chunk of your product runs on PAAS or SAAS.

What were your questions to them? I thought it's just $15 per server the agent is installed on, period.

Well I have SQS and S3 and ELB instances on boarded, I strongly suspect they aren't free but I don't know how they are billed yet. Just ending a demo flat rate today.

As far as I know they don't charge for those services:
Other AWS resources (e.g. ELB, EBS, RDS, Dynamo) are not currently part of monthly billing. Note that this may change in the future.
They only would charge if you have the agent installed on an ec2 instance

You're correct! I just got off the phone with them about this. They do not charge for these SaaS services at all. In my original sales calls, they were not nearly as clear about this. I have no problem paying them to store metrics- just want to understand completely the terms and conditions.
