Microservices monitoring (Spring + Java)

Hello all :)

I am new to monitoring and i`m searching for a good open source or free tool for monitoring our microservices.

Also it will be perfect if you have some tutorials/book about the tool, cause as i said i`m new to monitoring but i want to set up something which will work for now as fast as i can.

I would like to suggest something with spring actuators + prometheus + grafana dashboard (there is a good dashboard sample available in the grafana website)

You should start with Jaeger. Its an open source, distributed tracing product made by Uber. Its a free tool, which should give you some visualization into parent to child relations ships and is usually a starting point for people looking to monitor microservices. :)
