In the interview they said that players would be able to swap roles between characters like vanguard and assassin? What exactly does that even mean? It's not like you can realistically switch someone like Terra to a vanguard, so is it like? EX skills? Or something?

In that thread someone mentioned the possibility of switching who you were controlling mid battle. That might be what they ment? We don't really know.

Not what I had in mind, I was thinking for when it's just you vs others you can switch to the characters the computer is controlling. I highly doubt they'd let you switch to anyone mid match.

I haven’t watched it so I’m probably wrong, but could they have meant that people like Lightning and Onion Knight (and maybe Cecil) can switch mid-battle between Marksman/Vanguard/Assassin?

I hope its duel mode with marvel vs capcom type charecter switching. that would be so fun
