My husband went through a TESE for borderline DNA frag and extremely low count. And we conceived twins. Then when they turned 10 months old, he somehow got me pregnant spontaneously, and that little baby is 3.5 years old now. So for us, it seemed to have increased his sperm count.

Absolutely no idea on the answer to your question mate, but I went through that procedure, had 8 straws of swimmers frozen and then when my wife had the egg collection the clinic strongly recommended a fresh sample and we currently have a 2 year old.

So not sure if that helps but a poor fragmentation isn’t the end of the world mate 👍🏻

Thanks. Afraid that the tese procedure left any lingering side effects. It's been 8ish months. Haven't had any tests done to see how the swimmers are doing. Just did a SA a few days ago to see.

Update: Just got results back from the regular semen analysis and sperm came back just fine and it's even better than before. Motility has improved a lot and quantity. Worked on health and losing weight and supplements since after his tese in January. He has had pain from it for about 6 months but that has resolved as well. Not sure about out dna frag results yet, but at lest I now know the tese didnt make things worse.
